This is the process whereby you optimize your website, which lists your product or service, for Google. This is to allow it to rise higher on the Google website and consequently have more people visiting it. Essentially, for SEO to work, you need backlinks (links from other websites to your website) and optimized content. For example, if you have a website about dogs, then you would need dog articles on your website as well as links from dog websites back to your website.

That being said, although SEO can be really affordable, it can be an extremely long process. Meaning it could take years to reach the top. Another problem is that your competitor might have a better website and thus people link to that one instead of your website. In short, SEO can be extremely hard and unpredictable.
